Sweden is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:

  • Signature: 25 September 1965
  • Deposit of Ratification: 29 December 1966
  • Entry into Force: 28 January 1967
  • Pursuant to Article 54(2) of the ICSID Convention, Sweden has designated “Ministry of Foreign Affairs” as competent for the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.
  • Pursuant to Article 69 of the ICSID Convention, Sweden enacted the Act on Recognition and Execution of Awards Concerning Certain International Investment Disputes (Act No. 735 of December 16, 1966) to make the Convention effective in their jurisdiction.
  • Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Sweden has made the following panel designations effective until 26 November 2012:
