Peru is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:

  • Signature: 4 September 1991
  • Deposit of Ratification: 9 August 1993
  • Entry into Force: 8 September 1993
  • On 11 October 1996, pursuant to Article 25(3) of the ICSID Convention, Peru designated 1 consituent subdivision/agency as compentant to be a party to an ICSID arbitration:
    1) Perupetro S.A. *On making the designation, Peru also notified ICSID, that Peruvian approval would not be required for consents by Perupetro S.A. to submit disputes to ICSID.
  • Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Peru has made the following panel designations effective until 22 March 2017:
    - Dr. Alfonso DE LOS HEROS PÉREZ ALBELA: Professor of Law, University of Lima; Former Minister of Labor and Social Security
    - Mr. Eduardo Ferrero Costa: Attorney-at-Law
    - Ms. Delia Revoredo Marsano de Mur: Attorney-at-Law
    - Dr. Shoschana ZUSMAN TINMAN: Member, Consultative Judiciary Commission, Ministry of Justice
