Morocco is a Contracting State to the ICSID Convention:

  • Signature: 11 October 1965
  • Deposit of Ratification: 11 May 1967
  • Entry into Force: 10 June 1967
  • Pursuant to Article 54(2) of the ICSID Convention, Morocco has designated “Président du Tribunal Régional of the district where the enforcement is to take place” as competent for the recognition and enforcement of ICSID awards.
  • Pursuant to Article 69 of the ICSID Convention, Morocco enacted the Décret royal No. 564-65 du 31 octobre 1966 portant ratification de la Convention pour le règlement des différends relatifs aux investissements entre Etats et ressortissants d’autres Etats (Off. Gaz. 2820 No. 16, 1966, pp. 1288, 1332) to make the Convention effective in their jurisdiction.
  • Pursuant to Article 13(1) of the ICSID Convention Morocco has made the following panel designations effective until 27 May 2016:
    - Mr. Abdelilah BARJANI: President of a Chamber, Commercial Court of Appeal
    - Mr. Idriss BOUZIANE: Attorney-at-law
    - Mr. El Hassan EL GUASSIM: First President, Commercial Court of Appeal
    - Dr. Abdelkader LAHLOU: Attorney-at-Law; Professor of Law, Rabat

Morocco is a Contracting State to the New York Convention:
